The Water Authority of Fiji says the interruption in supply is to allow their Operations Team to conduct urgent repair works on a leaking section of one of the Bulk Supply Raw Water Trunk pipelines located along the Vaturu Dam access road at Qawaru.

They say the leaking section of the trunk main is part of the Vaturu to Nagado High-Pressure trunk mains system that transmits raw water from Vaturu Dam to the Nagado Water Treatment Plan.
