Lolohea was not on travel watchlist before

Meridian Service recruiting agent Timoci Lolohea was not on the immigration travel watch list in the past which enabled him to enter the country undetected.

Lolohea, who is at the center of investigations after he allegedly obtained over 3 million dollars from 20,000 people after promising them jobs in Kuwait, has now been placed on the travel ban list.

Director Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa says the reason why Lolohea was previously not a prohibited traveller was to ensure that he returns to Fiji.

Urgent steps have been taken by the authorities to ensure that Meridian Services recruiting agent Timoci Lolohea does not leave the country until investigations against him are concluded.

Director Immigration Major Nemani Vuniwaqa confirms that border control agencies have been informed that Lolohea is now on the travel watch list and he is not to leave the country by any means.
