Liverpool maintains top spot despite 2-2 draw against Aston Villa

Liverpool held onto their position at the top of the Premier League after a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park this morning.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring, but Villa responded with goals from Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins before halftime.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s deflected strike in the second half ensured Liverpool remained unbeaten in 14 away league games this season.

Although they failed to secure a win, Liverpool continue to lead the title race, keeping their grip on the top spot as the season nears its final stretch.

Liverpool is leading the points table with 61 points.
