23-year-old Josateki Lewenisiga has been arrested and is back in Police custody while the hunt continues for 28-year-old Aporosa Goneva.

Lewenisiga and Goneva escaped from the Ba Police Station yesterday morning.

Chief Operations Officer Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu says the two were earlier arrested for their alleged involvement in a series of robberies in the Ba area.

He says during the half-hourly checks conducted by officers on duty, they noticed the two suspects missing and it was later discovered that they had escaped through the cell-block ceiling.

Please call Crime Stoppers Fiji on 919 if you have any information on Goneva.
