Former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase is hoping that Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama is not serious about his threat to leave the SDL out of this Friday’s Forum of political parties.
Qarase said Commodore Bainimarama must realize that leaving out the SDL will not be a good move.
National Federation Party General Secretary Pramod Rae said he is shocked over Interim Prime Minister's comment that he may not be invited into this Friday's Political Forum.
Commodore Frank Bainimarama earlier said he is not happy with the comments by Rae supporting the ultimatum given by CMAG on an election date before September 2009 and therefore his participation is questionable.
He said he is also disappointed with SDL leader Laisenia Qarase's statements supporting the International Bar Association where they found no confidence in the rule of law in Fiji and administration of justice in Fiji.
Bainimarama said a decision on whether or not Rae and Qarase will participate in the Forum will be made before Friday.
The Political Dialogue Forum is expected to take place this Friday.
