Navitalai Lavekau, who was convicted of one count of indecent assault and one count of sexual assault, has been sentenced to 5 years imprisonment with a non-parole period of 3 years.
Lavekau appeared before Justice Lee James Burney at the Labasa High Court.
He is said to have indecently and sexually assaulted a 6-year-old.
Lavekau was also served with a permanent domestic violence restraining order with standard non-molestation and no contact conditions.
