Lautoka couple call for Police patrols after being robbed and assaulted

A couple from Lautoka are calling for police patrols after being robbed and assaulted from their residence in Vuda Back Road, Lautoka.

Roshni Lata says on Saturday night, they had a power outage in their area and were in their living room when a man came in the guise to ask for help that their vehicle broke down while another man was hiding.

Lata says her husband, went to lend a hand unaware of the consequences.

The 52-year-old woman says they were stabbed with screwdrivers all over their body which has made it difficult for them to walk and eat.

The men got away with items and cash valued at more than $3,000.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the Criminal Investigations Department had visited the couple this morning.
