Lautoka Youth Group promotes cleanliness through clean-up campaign around Fiji

The One Nation Our People Youth Foundation is promoting a safer environment through clean-up campaigns as they collected rubbish around Lovu Seaside in Lautoka yesterday afternoon.

Foundation Leader, Abdul Zorhab says this marks the fourth clean-up drive of the year conducted in collaboration with the International Peace Youth Group from South Korea.

Zorhab says this project is all about promoting peace and taking responsibility for our environment, especially with the concerning increase in dengue cases.

He says for vulnerable communities, it has become even more important to keep our surroundings clean and safe.

The Leader says a clean environment not only protects our health but also supports our tourism industry and it’s important to keep our surroundings clean.

When asked about their next step, Zorhab says they plan to focus on Ba areas.
