Laqere Market temporarily closed for 3 weeks for renovations
The Laqere Market is currently closed for renovations following concerns raised by market vendors about the condition of the facility.

While responding to questions by fijivillage News, Nasinu Town Council CEO, Felix Magnus says the market will be closed for three weeks, with renovations expected to be completed early next month.

Magnus says around 50 vendors sell their produce at the market.

He adds that vendors were informed two weeks in advance about the temporary closure.

The renovation is estimated to cost around $74,000.

The market is scheduled to reopen on the 2nd of August.

Laqere Market was first opened in May, 2020.
