Land being sought for increasing urban population
Government is now trying to make land available to cater for the increasing urban population.

A member of the Strategic Framework for Change and Coordination Unit in the Prime Minister's office, Adi Finau Tabakaucoro said this is part of the land reform being carried out by the government.

According to Tabakaucoro, the demands for land in the urban centers have increased a lot and government is trying to cater these people.

She also said that more than 15 percent of Fiji's population live in squatter settlement and now they are actively looking into this.
