Lami Town Council worker who sold marijuana for beer money to be sentenced on Wednesday

The man who was selling marijuana for beer money will be sentenced on Wednesday by Magistrate Yogesh Prasad.

Marika Magita is charged with unlawful possession of drugs and money suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Magistrate Prasad had told Magita that he is already receiving a good salary from the Lami Town Council, yet he is still selling marijuana.

Magita informed the court that the money he received from selling marijuana was for his beer, while his salary was for the groceries at home.
