Labasa held to 2-2 draw by Navua in BOG

Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants Tournament defending champion, Extra Supermarket Labasa were held to a 2-all draw by a resilient Flowserve Engineering Navua side.

A double by Christopher Wasasala had Labasa leading by 2-nil however, Navua’s Thomas Dunn found the net twice, ensuring that his team stayed in contention throughout the match.

Labasa’s coach Ravnil Pratap says today’s match against Flick Hygiene Lautoka will be a do-or-die match as a loss would mean they are out of the tournament.

He says the match is just as important for Lautoka after their 2-1 loss to Smart & Efficient Security Services/Calgary Nadi.

Labasa takes on Lautoka at 5 this evening.

Meanwhile, Dayal's Sawmillers Ba beat RPA Group/Nadroga Auto Marine Upholstery Works Nadroga 3-1 while Flick Hygiene Suva beat Extra Supermarket Rewa 1-nil.

Nadi takes on Navua at 1pm, Rewa takes on Nadroga at 3pm while Ba takes on host Suva at 7pm.
