Labasa and Savusavu experience series of burglaries over Christmas period – SP Soqosoqo

The Labasa and Savusavu areas have recently experienced a series of burglaries, many of which occurred during the Christmas period and arrests have been made.

Acting Divisional Police Commander North, Superintendent of Police Eroni Soqosoqo, confirmed this to fijivillage News, saying that the Criminal Investigations Department is working tirelessly to ensure public safety.

SP Soqosoqo says that most break-ins occur when people are not at home, creating opportunities for opportunistic crimes.

He is advising residents to take precautionary measures, such as informing neighbours when they are away or arranging for someone to watch over their homes.

Authorities continue to remind the community to remain vigilant.
