Labasa women’s football team aims to create history in the OFC Women’s Champions League as they become the first women’s team representing Fiji in the League.

They take on Kiwi FC in their first match at 1.45pm tomorrow.

Group A consists of Labasa, AS Academy Feminine and Kiwi FC.

Labasa President Rayaz Khan says they are preparing well and are excited for the inaugural tournament in Papua New Guinea.

Coach Arthur Simmons says they faced difficulties during the training session as half of the team was in Suva and half were in Vanua Levu.
