LTA cautions drivers against crossing flooded roads and waterways

The Land Transport Authority is strongly urging drivers not to drive during adverse weather conditions and cross flooded rivers and waterways.

Acting Chief Executive Officer, Irimaia Rokosawa says in the past, some drivers have attempted to cross flooded rivers and waterways.

He says during heavy rainfall, a driver cannot see how deep the water is or how strong the current is running and the chances of them losing control of the vehicle and being swept away are very high.
