Land Transport Authority General Manager Finance and Administration, Irimaia Rokosawa has stressed that fraudulent activities by staff will not be tolerated by the Authority.
Rokosawa highlighted this while responding to Public Accounts Committee member and FijiFirst MP, Vijendra Prakash whether any actions have been undertaken against their Nadi staff who were found undertaking fraudulent activities in 2013 and 2014.
Rokowasa says the staff found doing this will be immediately terminated which has been done to their Nadi staff who had been identified that were responsible for such acts in 2013 and 2014.
He says LTA has written off and recovered from these activities and they have placed measures to ensure that this is not repeated.
Meanwhile, Committee member SODELPA MP, Aseri Radrodro questioned Rokosawa whether LTA has recovered the money taken by the staff.
Rokosawa says the Authority has written off the balance for this misappropriation of cash.
