Nippy halfbacks Waisea Nacuqu and Terio Tamani have been recalled into the Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s side while Iliavi Masori Nasova, Lasaro Bogisa, and Aisea Nawai will be hoping to make their debut this weekend at the HSBC SVNS World Championship in Los Angeles.
Coach Osea Kolinisau named the three new players alongside veteran and skipper Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Waisea Nacuqu, Terio Veilawa, Tira Wilagi, Kavekini Tanivanuakula, Filipe Sauturaga, Sakiusa Siqila, Manueli Maisamoa, Isikeli Basiyalo and try scoring sensation Joji Nasova.
Notable exclusions from the side are Iowane Teba, Joseva Talacolo, Vuiviwa Naduvalo, Jeremaia Matana, and George Bose due to injury.
Fiji is in pool B with New Zealand, Spain and Australia while pool A is made up of Argentina, South Africa, France and Great Britain.
Fiji plays New Zealand in their first pool game at 6.06am Sunday, they then meet Australia at 9.07am, before facing Spain at 12.13pm.
The semi finals are at 8.07am next Monday with the cup final at 12.07pm.
