Kumar first RFMF Officer to hold a instructing position at the Australian Command and Staff College

Lieutenant Colonel Avinesh Kumar is the first RFMF Officer to hold an instructing position at the Australian Command and Staff College.

He is part of the six RFMF personnel who have left for Australia to begin their studies at respective Australian Defence College institutions.

Vive Kurilagi will be studying English Media Studies and International Political Studies while Iliana Sigadrodro will be studying International and Political Studies/Business at the Australian Defence Force Academy. Fiji Navy Captain, Lepani Vaniqi, is also part of the group and will be furthering his studies through a Masters in Defence and Strategic Studies at the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies.

Lieutenant Commander Napolioni Waqatairewa and Major Tevita Biudole are enrolled at the Australian Command and Staff College.

A further six RFMF personnel will be departing Nadi tomorrow to further their studies in similar courses. All RFMF personnel and their families will be conducting a two-week mandatory COVID-19 quarantine upon arrival in Australia.
