Fiji Soccer Star and Labasa born, Roy Krishna created history over the weekend to become the first Fijian to captain an Indian side to win Indian Super League Trophy.

Krishna has now achieved what no other Fijian soccer player has done and he says that from day one of this season, he and his team believed that they will lift the trophy.

Krishna had left the ground in the 40th minute of first half as he suffered ahamstring injury.

Armando Sosa Pena replaces Krishna.

He has also thanked all the ATK fans and supporters.

Krishna’s team ATK have won three Indian Super League titles and he is part of the third win.

ATK beat Chennaiyin 3-1 in the final of the Indian Super League yesterday.

Javier Hernandez and Edu Garcia scored for ATK while Nerijus Valskis scored for Chennaiyin.

Krishna scored 15 goals in the Indian Super League this season and he is the joint second highest goal scorer.

The match was played behind closed doors in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
