Minister for Infrastructure, Jone Usamate says realignment work at Korosomo Slip in the Northern Division that was affected by Tropical Cyclone Ana cannot begin immediately due to issues with the landowners.

Usamate says the landowners had given their agreement for the realignment during their initial talks however, another set of landowners are now claiming ownership of that land.

The Minister says the Fiji Roads Authority is trying to resolve the issue by talking to the TLTB and other relevant authorities so that realignment work can begin and if that happens then work can happen in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
