After residents and drivers raised concerns about the potholes along Khalsa Road in Tacirua opening up every few weeks, the Fiji Roads Authority confirms that the necessary works will begin later this month or in early January.

The FRA says this includes enhancing the drainage systems, installing new culverts and carrying out additional reticulation works, weather permitting.

They say this timing is dependent on the completion of ongoing pavement works along Rewa Street, McGregor Road and Princes Road.

The FRA says the expected duration of the Khalsa Road project will largely depend on the scope of works and any unforeseen challenges, such as weather delays.

When asked how long would the project take, they say it would take anywhere from 3 to 6 months to complete, however, they will be able to provide a more accurate timeline closer to the start date once work plans are finalised.
