Fiji lacks qualified and competent professionals within the Land Valuation industry.

This was one of the key issues highlighted in the Institute of Valuation and Estate Management of Fiji 8th Annual Conference.

The Secretary of the Institution of Valuation and Estate Management Fiji Louzanne Sahib stated that this was one of the major issues that were discussed in the convention.

Participants say there were issues with the standards of registration of Valuers by Valuers Registration Board and the board needs to work closely with Universities, Industry Stakeholders and the Institute itself.

Organizations were also called to embrace technology to drive efficiency and productivity.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources Malakai Nalawa urged all members participating in the Institute of Valuation and Estate Management of Fiji 8th Annual conference to be equipped with modern technology.

He says this will ensure the sustainability of the property industry.

The two-day Annual Conference witnessed participants from the Valuation and Estate Industry.
