A unique flavoured kava product from Fiji has been a hit at an international food trade show in Auckland.

Taki Mai's flavoured kava shots were among the wide range of Pacific products being showcased at the Fine Food New Zealand trade expo.

It is aimed at promoting more foods from the Pacific to be sold in New Zealand stores.

The new trade partnership has been established between Pacific Trade & Invest and the Produce Company which distributes more than 3000 products to restaurants, cafes and caterers around New Zealand.

Manager Joe Fuavao says the Kava shots by Taki Mai has generated a lot of interest among a cafes and bars.
