Kava ban on Sundays being stressed
The President of the Methodist Church Reverend Dr Tuikilakila Waqairatu has again stressed to his members about the kava and smoking ban.

Reverend Dr Tuikilakila Waqairatu said the executives of the church have heard that some members are still drinking kava on Sunday.

The ban prohibits church members from drinking kava on Sundays, drinking kava after church services, the drinking and selling of kava at any minister’s residence, and the ban also prohibits ministers and church leaders from smoking.

He said the excessive kava consumption and smoking within the Methodist community requires urgent and decisive action for the physical and spiritual health of its members.
