Karan confirms they have enough E-passports available

Permanent Secretary for Immigration, Yogesh Karan confirms that they have enough E-passports available now and there is no need for people to panic.

Karan says that there is a backlog of applications which they are clearing and this is expected to be complete by the first week of November.

He also says that they are giving first priority to those who are requiring urgent travel.

Karan adds that the Immigration Department staff are working late into the night to make sure that the pending applications are attended to.
