Juvenile to front court today for alleged sacrilege

A 17-year old boy will appear in Nausori Magistrates Court today charged with his alleged involvement in a sacrilege case in Waituri in Nausori on Friday.

The boy allegedly broke into a family temple and tried to set fire to the religious books and idols inside the temple.

Police say the owner of the property managed to put out the fire.

The 17-year-old has been charged with two counts of sacrilege.
