Senior members of the Hibiscus Festival judges committee are yet to decide on the complaint lodged by Fiji Broadcasting Corporation about the judging criteria in the Queen’s pageant.
Chairman of the Hibiscus Events Group Hirdesh Prasad said the official complaint was received from FBC chief executive officer Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum last night and it was forwarded to the committee.
Prasad said there are concerns about alleged bias of a judge, Sachiko Soro, by FBC as the company is claiming that Soro is also closely associated with Mai Life magazine.
Prasad said he cannot say anything when asked for an assurance that there will be no changes to the winner of this year’s pageant.
Drue Slatter was crowned the 2012 Miss Hibiscus while Miss FBC Genevieve Sukhdeo was the first runner up.
