Don’t judge us for our dress but what we deliver.

This was stressed by Minister for Education Rosy Akbar at the International Women’s Day celebrations in Ba today organised by SOROPTIMIST International.

Soroptimist International is a worldwide volunteer service organisation for women who work for peace, and in particular to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.

Akbar says let’s teach our children to rise above petty discrimination and stereotyping.

She says it is also equally important for women to support each other.

A march was also held through Ba Town as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations organised by SOROPTIMIST International.
