High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo will be summing up the case of Venktesh Permal Goundar who allegedly set his wife alight in Lautoka City in 2015 this afternoon.
He is charged with one count of murder.
The assessors will then retire behind closed doors to deliberate on their verdict.
Goundar is alleged to have followed his wife into a shop holding a small bottle, poured the liquid over his wife and set her alight.
