The 1987 coup leader and Former Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka's journey of confessing to those that he had wronged from May 14th, 1987 continues.
Late last month, Rabuka made a traditional presentation to Defence Minister, Ratu Epeli Ganilau and confessed to him that what he had done to the late Ratu Sir Penaia Ganilau was wrong.
Rabuka said he is happy that Ratu Epeli accepted the confession on behalf of the family.
Ratu Epeli Ganilau said he accepted the confession and told Rabuka that it is time to move forward and build a better future for everyone.
Rabuka said he is happy that people who he has approached have accepted his confession but he said it has been a painful journey along the way.
Tomorrow marks twenty-three years of the Rabuka led coup, which was also the first coup staged in Fiji.
