Eddie Jones was named England head coach in 2015

England rugby head coach Eddie Jones will take a pay cut of more than 25% as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

Jones has joined the Rugby Football Union's highest-paid executives in accepting a reduction to help limit the financial impact of the pandemic.

The RFU are braced for revenue losses of up to 50 million pounds.

RFU boss Bill Sweeney says when he contacted Eddie regarding their executive pay reduction proposals, he immediately agreed.

It is understood the pay cuts for Jones and the executive team apply to their full remuneration package of salary, bonuses and pension, to the equivalent of more than 25%.
