It will be a memorable Christmas for 40-year-old Jiuta Delaibatiki from Natutu after he won the Vodafone Christmas grand prize of $50,000 today.

Delaibatiki says he was surprised when he received the first call from Vodafone while working on Treasure Island, and he thought that it was a scam.

Delaibatiki who is also known as Nemo on Treasure Island Resort says he was surprised after receiving the second call from Vodafone to confirm that it was not a scam but a real deal.

He believes that the prize was a blessing for him as a single parent and especially for his family back in his village.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Fiji Chief Commercial Officer Salman Khan thanked their customer for participating in their Christmas Promotion and hopes they will keep their fingers crossed because there is still $80,000 more to be won.

Khan says as we approach the end of the year, Vodafone wishes all Fijians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
