Australia has destroyed New Zealand 54-4 in the final to win their third straight Women’s Rugby League World Cup title.

The Jillaroos had only beaten the Kiwi’s 10-8 in the group stages but piled on 10-tries to one in the decider.

The Australians led 20-0 at half time and were even more ruthless in the second half with Kennedy Cherrington scoring a double.

Isabelle Kelly and Jessica Segis also crossed with doubles, while Julia Robinson, Emma Tonegato and Tarryn Aiken also added their names to points tally.

Madison Bartlett finally got the Kiwis on the scoreboard with a try in the 65th minute.

Veteran halfback Ali Brigginshaw was named player of the match.
