It is the voters responsibility to check where they are supposed to vote - Saneem
Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem has stressed that it is the voters responsibility to check where they are supposed to vote.

This comes after concerns were raised by some voters who were turned away when they were at their voting stations for pre-polling.

The Supervisor says that the 1500 platform has been around since February and voters should have updated their details if they needed to change their voting venues before October 1st of this year.

Saneem has highlighted that the voters should have been proactive to change their details and to check their venues for voting.

The Supervisor of election has advised that voters text their voter numbers to 1500 to know where their polling station will be and to avoid disappointment on the day of election.
