All Blacks duo Josh Ioane and Nehe Milner-Skudder

All Blacks duo Josh Ioane and Nehe Milner-Skudder have been ruled out for the Highlanders clash against the Blues this week in the Super Rugby Aotearoa.

RugbyPass reports that the news was confirmed by outgoing Highlanders assistant coach Mark Hammett yesterday.

Both players were absent from their side’s opening victory against the Chiefs, with Ioane a late withdrawal from the starting side due to a groin injury.

Playmakers Mitch Hunt and Bryn Gatland will be in contention for the starting role this weekend.

The Highlanders will face the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday while the Crusaders will take on the Chiefs at 3.35pm Sunday.
