Investigations underway on vehicle collision at Nasautoka, Tailevu yesterday

Police are currently investigating an accident that occurred in Nasautoka Village in Tailevu yesterday where two cars collided causing injuries to the driver of one of the vehicles.

Eye witnesses told fijivillage News that it is alleged that the driver at fault was drunk and could not control the car causing it to veer to the opposite lane and hit the other vehicle.

A woman who was a passenger in the vehicle that was hit was also rushed to the Nayavu Health Centre but was later discharged yesterday with no visible injuries.

Divisional Police Commander East, SSP Josua Vodo says the woman revealed that she was just in a state of shock.

SSP Vodo says the driver at fault was injured and was treated and later discharged early this morning.

Investigation continues.
