18 year-old international model and designer, Blaise de Vos

18-year-old international model and designer, Blaise de Vos has launched a fashion label, Fierce and Flawless Couture which will also be the first-ever Dress Hire Service in Fiji.

The launch coincided with a VIP fashion show at Shosha Bar and Lounge in Suva featuring models from Fiji, Australia and New Zealand.

de Vos who grew up in Fiji and started modelling at 6 years of age says she wants to create opportunities for young girls in Fiji to have a chance to wear the dresses of their dreams at hire prices.

She says she always felt like she never really fit the beauty standards of what it takes to be a model and this is when she came up with the idea of doing something for girls that felt the same way as her.

de Vos who has taken part in the New York Fashion Week, Melbourne Fashion Week and Fiji Fashion Week will also be showcasing her new brand at the New York Fashion Week in September this year.

She says this will be creating the opportunity for everyone to have the perfect designer outfit for any special occasion and making dreams come true because everyone, no matter who they are, deserves a special day, special dress and a moment in time for all their dreams to come true.

The inspiring model says she plans to study law at Stanford University in the US next year.
