Indian Council for Cultural Relations strengthens Fiji-India ties through culture and education

The role of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations in strengthening ties between Fiji and India has been significant, linking economic, social, and political aspects in both countries.

While speaking at the ICCR Alumni Meet and Cultural Evening, Acting Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad says the bond between the two nations has strengthened over time in various areas, including education, employment, investment, language, religion, culture, and people-to-people connections.

Professor Prasad also highlighted that India has always been a committed development partner for Fiji, assisting in several sectors such as education, health, and technology.

He also encouraged more students to explore opportunities to study in India.
