The Government of India is having discussions with the Fiji government on providing some sort of assistance in the preparation for the 2014 elections.
Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Vinod Kumar said he has been part of the meetings being held with the Fiji government and the heads of missions in the country on providing election assistance.
Kumar said they are happy that the relationship between Fiji and India has been growing over the past few years
Kumar said 25 local students were awarded scholarships to study in India and a team of surgeons from India is working with local doctors on providing surgeries.
