Suva High Court Judge Justice Vinsent Perera has found Imshad Izrar Ali guilty for the murder of his partner.
Ali murdered his 34 year old partner who was a kindergarten teacher, by strangling her to death in their Howell Road home in Suva in 2009.
Justice Perera said that he believed the admissions Ali made in his caution interview statement was his and not fabricated by police.
He also said that Ali was not a credible witness when giving evidence.
The case has been adjourned to Monday for the sentencing hearing at 2.30pm.
