Improved water supply expected in Navua

A Drilling team from Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources are currently working on a project in response to the request that has been received from the Water Authority of Fiji for the urgent need to improve water supply around areas in Navua.

The drilling team from the Ministry has undertaken groundwater investigation in the vicinity of Nayagi well-field and select possible drill site.

The Ministry has now allocated one drill-rig to explore additional production borehole on the site that has been selected in the anticipation to increase their existing water supply.

The Ministry says they are always very supportive to any request that comes from Water Authority of Fiji for groundwater development in consideration of the importance of having consistent water supply to public.
