Impending cyclone being treated with urgency
With Tropical Cyclone Evan approaching and Fiji being particularly vulnerable, the situation is being treated with a sense of urgency according to Permanent Secretary for Information Sharon Smith-Johns.

Ahead of Tropical Cyclone Evan, Smith-Johns added the core response and emergency teams are already preparing themselves.

As part of the mobilization evacuation centers will be identified by this afternoon with the allocation of food rations also being discussed.

According to Smith-Johns with everyone ahead of the game now it is a matter of making sure everyone is safe and then carrying out the activation when Tropical Cyclone Evan hits.
