Immigration dept unveils major human trafficking scam
The Immigration department has unveiled what it said is a major human trafficking scam in Fiji and has detained 12 Indian nationals and some locals who are now under investigation.

Director Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa confirms that the 11 men and one woman, who are Indian nationals, are believed to have been brought into Fiji by a local company about eight months ago and they were staying illegally in the country

Vuniwaqa said the Indian nationals were arrested after raids were conducted in the Nasinu area yesterday.
