The Department of Immigration will no longer accept walk-in customers for passport services from this Friday due to the ongoing demand for passports and the stock of blank passports running low.

The department says those who currently have booked an appointment through the Immigration website will be served accordingly.

They say outside the appointment system, they will only consider emergency cases including medical emergencies.

They add this is to ensure that they are taking the necessary steps to address the issue.
