Opposition Leader Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.

Opposition Leader Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu says he is only asking for known names like George Speight and Ratu Inoke Takiveikata to be released if they have followed the rules of the prison and are eligible to be released.

Ratu Naiqama says some of these people have spent more than 10 years in prison while others have spent more than 20 years and he is raising this on humanitarian grounds.

When asked about Bainimarama labelling the matanigasau by Ratu Naiqama and others as a farce, Tratu Naiqama says the late former President Ratu Josefa Iloilo was present at the ceremony despite Bainimarama asking him not to attend.
