Police have made another discovery near the same location in the Lomaiviti Group where an underwater transponder allegedly being used for drug trafficking was discovered in March this year.
Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho has confirmed to Fijivillage that the discovery is not drug related and they are working with the Department of Fisheries because it involves illegal fishing.
In March this year, a dive team led by Qiliho searched the area after suspecting the underwater transponder may have been allegedly used to give coordinates for a drop off and pick up point for drugs.
