Idle land to be used for farming
The government has stressed after the Food Symposium yesterday that more land which is lying idle for years will be available for farming from later this year.

Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said the government is aware that more land is needed for agricultural farming which will then ensure increased production, reduced imports and increased exports.

He said everyone needs to work together to achieve this, and it is not only the government's job.
