The Publisher of Fiji Sun Limited, Peter Lomas has today confirmed that he approached the News Limited sale agent, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and the Commerce Commission as Fiji Sun Limited wants to buy the Fiji Times.
Although reports have emerged from News Limited that it has denied that Fiji Sun had offered to buy the Fiji Times, Lomas said they had made the approach.
Lomas also revealed that he has asked the Commerce Commission to reconsider it's position if the Fiji Times cannot get a buyer.
When Fijivillage News contacted Jenny Seeto of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, she only confirmed that the sale process is continuing and they hope to have a successful bidder before the deadline of September 28th.
