Education Minister Rosy Akbar

Education Minister Rosy Akbar says she has been receiving a lot of complaints about the delays in lectures at the Fiji National University.

While speaking at the opening of the FNU Students Association Council meeting, Akbar says the onus is on the universities to ensure that quality teaching happens within the lecture rooms.

She says at FNU they want the best lectures.

Akbar also told the FNU Students Association that it is important for them to have a listening forum for the students.

Akbar also says the new Fiji National University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Toby Wilkinson has been tasked with carrying out a staff audit.

She adds they want the best teachers with the best qualifications.
