Former heavyweight champion, Iron Mike Tyson

Former heavyweight champion, Iron Mike Tyson says even though he may have not been fighting for the past 5-years, he is still a champ in many countries and he is returning to the ring for the world.

Speaking at the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, Tyson says he understands there are some people out there who are jealous of him but he likes it as it inspires him to become better.

When asked about the exhibition fight with Roy Jones Jr, the 54-year-old says he does not look at the odds.

Tyson competed from 1985 to 2005.

He won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round.

He won the WBC title in 1986 after stopping Trevor Berbick in the second round and added the WBA and IBF titles after defeating James Smith and Tony Tucker in 1987.

He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, as well as the only heavyweight to unify them in succession.

Roy Jones Jr who will be his opponent competed in boxing from 1989 to 2018, and held multiple world championships in four weight classes, including titles at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight, and is the only boxer in history to start his professional career at light middleweight and go on to win a heavyweight title.

Mike Tyson will face Roy Jones Jr this Saturday at Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California.
